ELIZABETH SHOEMAKER joined Teraoka & Partners LLP
with considerable international business experience, having served
as an international planning analyst and IT strategist for Fujitsu
Limited in Japan and as a marketing manager for a Tokyo software
company. She also owned and operated a software support and
translation company in Tokyo. She lived in Japan for 10 years.
She has also interned and served as a law clerk for
several Los Angeles law firms handling matters ranging from trade
secret litigation, federal and state civil rights cases, and various
intellectual property litigation cases, where she performed Japanese
language document review and worked on various pre‑trial matters.
At Teraoka & Partners LLP, she practices business and corporate law,
real estate and commercial litigation.
She is a graduate of UCLA School of Law and also
holds a Masters in Pacific International Affairs from the University
of California at San Diego. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree
from Amherst College and graduated magna cum laude in 1987.
Ms. Shoemaker
enjoys marathon running, snowboarding and skiing, and yacht racing.
