Matthew Passmore

MATTHEW PASSMORE has more than 20 years of legal experience in both transactional and real estate law and litigation. He joined Teraoka & Partners LLP in 2018 and practices corporate, business, real estate, employment and intellectual property law.

Matthew received his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where he was the Editor in Chief of the Hastings Communications and Entertainment Law Journal (COMM/ENT). While in law school, Matthew edited and published a book entitled “Forgive Us Our Press Passes: Selected Works By Daniel Schorr,” a collection of essays by the celebrated American journalist.

Born and raised in San Francisco, Matthew earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy from UCLA. Prior to joining Teraoka, he worked as a litigation attorney at Heller Ehrman LLP and as in-house counsel at several small startup companies around the San Francisco Bay Area.

A passionate advocate for the arts, Matthew currently serves on the Civic Arts Commission for the city of Berkeley, California.
